I have some new items listed on Etsy!

Head on over to my Etsy store to read all about them! Don't forget, you can request a custom item if you don't see exactly what you're looking for!

Time files!

Time flies when you're having fun! Sorry it's been so long... Let's see, what have I been up to....

Well Hayden is 14 months now. He is growing and teething like CRAZY!!! He's got 6 teeth coming in right now, 2 eye teeth and the rest are molars! Can you believe it?? So he has graduated from walking to running EVERYWHERE, all day!!! It's exhausting! But so much fun. He is such a funny kid! He just laughs all the time, he loves to dance! I have yet to capture it on film because as soon as he sees the video camera, he stops what he's doing and tries to grab the camera. One of these days I'll capture the moment!

So other than that, I've been sewing a lot. I've had several custom items I've been working on for clients. Some have been simple repairs to jackets and throw pillows, other projects have included re-covering a barber chair for my friend's tattoo shop Stay True and making dresses for another friend!

When I'm not working on that stuff, I've been making fun things of my own to sell! I'm working on some really neat wallets for my Etsy store. I will let you know when those get posted online! I am also ready to post a few pairs of baby shoes! Super cute.

A while back I purchased a pattern for a stuffed dragon, along with a penguin and an elephant! I hadn't had a chance to make them up until last week when I did the dragon for Hayden. It turned out really cute! He needs some fine-tuning to make it more baby-friendly, but that should be an easy fix. The girl I bought the pattern from doesn't sell a license to sell the finished items on Etsy, but I did get permission to sell them locally at craft shows! I'm hoping to participate in lots of craft shows this spring and summer, so I have to keep working on my inventory!

Speaking of sewing.... I should get back to it! Until next time!

New Year's Resolution

I am making it a goal this year to keep up with the social media networking. I would love to update my blog at least once a week and bring new ideas to Plain Jane as a business. With your help, I think I can do it! Any suggestions?

This past holiday season was a busy one! I participated in a very successful craft show at the beginning of December which pretty much cleared out my inventory! I have had several other projects on the go, so I am working now at re-stocking my Etsy store. I have several new ideas and products that I hope to have in the shop some time in February, so stay tuned for that!

I received 2 wonderful new cookbooks for Christmas and I have been putting them to good use! I have tried several new recipes and one book has inspired me to start my own organic vegetable garden this spring! I am looking forward to planting, caring for and eventually eating many veggies! I'm going to try carrots, radishes, lettuce, leeks, onions, potatoes and tomatoes for starters. Wish me luck!
